Your free trial
Every new team gets 30 days of DomainDash's Pro features, with no credit card.
Your first 30 days are on us
Every new team starts with a 30-day free trial of DomainDash's Pro features — status pages, webhooks, content checks, incidents, Insights, multi-location checks, the most sites of any paid plan, and a small SMS allowance — with no credit card. When the trial ends your team moves to the Free plan automatically: your oldest site keeps running, the rest pause until you choose a paid plan, and nothing is deleted.
How the trial works
When you create a team, DomainDash automatically starts a 30-day trial. You don't have to choose it, sign up for it, or enter a card — it's just how every team begins. The trial runs quietly in the background while you add sites and explore, so you can get a real feel for the Pro features before deciding anything. A countdown shows you how much time is left.
There's no separate "trial plan" to pick on the pricing page. The trial sits on top of your team and gives you Pro-level features for 30 days, then steps down to the Free plan on its own.
What's included
During the trial your team has Pro-level features:
- The most sites of any paid plan, checked as often as every minute
- Multi-location checks so each site is checked from more than one location at once
- Status pages to share live status with your visitors
- Webhooks to send check and incident events to your own systems
- Content checks that look inside a page for specific text, an element, or a JSON response
- Incidents with full timelines and team updates
- Insights — plain-English summaries of how your sites are doing
- A small SMS allowance so you can try text alerts
A few things are not part of the trial:
- Custom domains for status pages
- Priority support
- API access (this isn't currently available on any plan)
The trial countdown
While your trial is running, DomainDash shows a banner at the top of your dashboard with the number of days left, so the deadline never sneaks up on you. As it gets closer the banner counts down day by day, and on the final day it reads "Last day of your trial". The banner includes a Choose a plan button whenever you're ready — so you can upgrade in a couple of clicks without losing any of your sites.
What happens when the trial ends
When the 30 days are up, your team moves to the Free plan automatically. Here's exactly what that means:
- Your oldest site keeps running. The Free plan checks one site, so the first site you added stays live.
- Any other sites pause. Their checks stop, but the sites themselves, along with all their settings and history, are kept. Nothing is deleted.
- Pro features switch off. Status pages, webhooks, content checks, incidents, Insights, multi-location checks, and SMS are no longer active until you upgrade.
After the trial ends, the dashboard banner changes to tell you how many sites are paused, with a reminder that nothing's been deleted and an Upgrade button to switch them back on.
Nothing is deleted
Ending the trial never removes a site. Paused sites are simply switched off. The moment you move to a paid plan, your oldest paused sites come back online automatically, up to the limit of your new plan.
Upgrading from the trial
You don't have to wait for the trial to end. Choose a paid plan at any point — during the trial or after it's lapsed — and you'll move straight onto it. Upgrading during the trial keeps everything running with no pause at all. Upgrading after the trial has ended brings your paused sites back online, oldest first, up to your new plan's limit.
To upgrade, open the billing settings page and choose a plan, or use the button in the trial banner. See Upgrading your plan for a step-by-step walkthrough.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need a credit card to start the free trial?
No. Every new team starts on a 30-day trial of Pro-level features automatically, with no credit card. You only enter payment details if you choose to subscribe to a paid plan.
What happens when my free trial ends?
Your team moves to the Free plan automatically. Your oldest site keeps running, any extra sites pause until you choose a paid plan, and nothing is deleted — your sites, settings, and history all stay exactly as they are.
What's included in the free trial?
The trial unlocks Pro-level features: status pages, webhooks, content checks, incidents, Insights, multi-location checks, the most sites of any paid plan, and a small SMS allowance. Custom domains, priority support, and API access aren't part of the trial.
Can I upgrade before my trial ends?
Yes. Choose a paid plan at any point during the trial and you'll move straight onto it. There's no need to wait for the trial to expire, and upgrading early keeps all your sites running without any pause.
