Getting started
Add your first site
Start checking a site in under a minute. Just a domain — no agents, scripts, or DNS changes.
Overview
Once you've created your account and team, you can add a site and start checking it straight away. Enter a domain name and DomainDash handles the rest: uptime checks, response time tracking, SSL certificate checks, and more begin within seconds: no agents to install, no code to change, nothing to wait on.
How to add a site
- Click Add site
From your dashboard, click the Add site button in the top-right corner. If you haven't added any sites yet, you'll also see an Add your first site button in the centre of the page.
- Enter your domain
Type or paste the domain you want to check, for example
example.com. If you paste a full URL (likehttps://www.example.com/page), we'll extract the domain automatically. - Confirm and start checking
Click Add site in the modal and you're done. DomainDash immediately starts checking your site for uptime, response times, and SSL certificate health.
You'll be taken back to your dashboard where the new site appears in your site list, ready to go.
What happens next
As soon as you add a site, DomainDash begins running checks in the background, so you're covered from the moment you finish adding it, with nothing left to configure. Here's what we look at:
- Uptime: we check your site regularly to make sure it's responding
- Response time: we track how quickly your site responds so you can spot slowdowns
- SSL certificate: we check your certificate is valid and warn you before it expires
- DNS records (your domain's routing configuration): we watch for unexpected changes
- Domain registration: we keep an eye on when your domain expires
Results start appearing on your dashboard within a few seconds. For a full picture of your site's health, give it a little while to collect a few rounds of data.
Plan limits
Each plan includes a set number of sites. During your 30-day trial you can add several sites; when the trial ends, the Free plan keeps your oldest site running and pauses the rest until you choose a paid plan. Paid plans raise the limit, and you can add extra sites on top of any paid plan. See choose your plan for the details.
