Add your first site
Start monitoring a website in under a minute. No setup or configuration required.
Overview
Once you've created your account and team, you can add a site to start monitoring it straight away. Enter a domain name and DomainDash handles the rest: uptime checks, response time tracking, SSL certificate monitoring, and more begin within seconds.
How to add a site
- Click Add site
From your dashboard, click the Add site button in the top-right corner. If you haven't added any sites yet, you'll also see an Add your first site button in the centre of the page.
- Enter your domain
Type or paste the domain you want to monitor, for example
example.com. If you paste a full URL (likehttps://www.example.com/page), we'll extract the domain automatically. - Confirm and start monitoring
Click Add site in the modal and you're done. DomainDash immediately starts checking your site for uptime, response times, and SSL certificate health.
You'll be taken back to your dashboard where the new site appears in your site list, ready to go.
What happens next
As soon as you add a site, DomainDash begins running checks in the background. Here's what we start monitoring:
- Uptime: we ping your site regularly to make sure it's responding
- Response speed: we track how quickly your site responds so you can spot slowdowns
- SSL certificate: we check your certificate is valid and warn you before it expires
- DNS records (your domain's routing configuration): we monitor for unexpected changes
- Domain registration: we keep an eye on when your domain expires
Results start appearing on your dashboard within a few seconds. For a full picture of your site's health, give it a little while to collect a few rounds of data.
Plan limits
Each plan includes a set number of sites. If you're on the free plan, you can monitor one site. Upgrade your plan to add more.
