Adding and removing sites
Manage which websites DomainDash monitors. Add new sites in seconds and remove ones you no longer need.
Overview
Every website you want DomainDash to keep an eye on starts by adding it to your dashboard. Enter a domain name and we take it from there: uptime checks, response time tracking, SSL monitoring, DNS health, and domain registration alerts all kick in straight away. When you no longer need to monitor a site, removing it is just as easy.
Adding a site
- Click Add site
From your dashboard, click the Add site button in the top-right corner of the page. If you haven't added any sites yet, click Add your first site in the centre of the empty dashboard.
If you've organised your sites into groups, each group section also has its own Add site shortcut. Using it will automatically place the new site into that group.
- Enter the domain
Type or paste the domain you want to monitor, for example
example.com. If you paste a full URL likehttps://www.example.com/about, DomainDash will extract the domain for you automatically. - Confirm and start monitoring
Click Add site and you're done. DomainDash immediately begins running checks in the background. You'll be taken back to your dashboard, where the new site appears in your site list and is highlighted briefly so you can spot it.
Results start showing up within seconds, and a fuller picture builds over the first few minutes as data comes in from each type of check.
Site limits and extra sites
Each plan includes a set number of monitored sites. If you're on the free plan, you can monitor one site. Paid plans include more, and you can add extra sites beyond your plan's limit for an additional charge.
When you try to add a site that would exceed your plan's allowance, the Add site modal shows a warning with the extra cost. The charge is prorated from the day you add the site, so you only pay for the time you use.
If you'd get better value from the next plan up, DomainDash will suggest the upgrade right there in the modal.
Check your plan
Not sure how many sites your plan includes? Head to Choose your plan to compare your options, or visit Team settings > Billing to see your current allowance.
Removing a site
If you no longer need to monitor a website, you can remove it from DomainDash.
- Open the site
From your dashboard, click the site you want to remove to open its detail page.
- Open the site menu
Click the three-dot menu in the top-right corner of the site toolbar and select Remove site.
- Confirm removal
A confirmation dialog will ask you to confirm. Click Remove site to proceed.
Data is permanently deleted
When you remove a site, all monitoring data for that site (uptime history, response time charts, SSL checks, DNS records, and incident history) is permanently deleted. This can't be undone. If you want to stop checks temporarily, consider pausing monitoring instead.
Removing a site frees up a slot on your plan, so you can add a different site in its place.
